Private Program

Paradise Christian School is “Preparing The Leaders of Tomorrow,” offering a comprehensive high quality early childhood and school-age program, which specializes in the social-emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child. Along with our community partners, we have undertaken to inspire our children to build their self-esteem and confidence in themselves to achieve a foundation that no one can tear down.

Summer Camp

A complete summer camp program is available with daily fun- filled activities and optional exciting fieldtrips. There is a separate registration fee for the summer to cover additional activities and fieldtrips. The tuition remains the same. Registration opens in March of each year.

Early Learning Coalition

This is our state mandated agency who oversees the state funds allocated to subsidize direct-services for school readiness programs in licensed child care facilities.

At Paradise Christian School we make every possible effort to improve quality of teacher-child interactions; implement evidence-based teaching practices; and implement and assess evidence-based curriculum. These are three of the primary goals to help children get ready for school.

School Readiness

The School Readiness program prepares children to become ready for school, and provides parents with information on child development and other topics of interest.  The School Readiness program offers financial assistance to income eligible families to help pay for child care.

VPK

Voluntary Prekindergarten gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. By developing the skills children need to become strong readers and students at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school. VPK classrooms offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers.

If you live in Florida and have a child who turns 4 years of age by September 1, your child is eligible for Florida’s FREE VPK program. Your child can attend one of the two programs offered annually. The school-year program includes 540 hours of instructional time and begins in August. The summer program consists of 300 instructional hours and can begin as early as May 1.

The program operates with vouchers given to parents if they make the choice to involved their children in these learning experiences. Early care and education programs like Paradise Christian School, must meet specific criterion to qualify as an approved VPK provider.

Head Start

The Head Start program is a comprehensive child development program serving children from 3 to 5 years of age. These services are family-centered and follow the tenets that children develop in the context of their family and culture.

Head Start is also child-focused since the primary goal is to increase the social competence in young children from low-income families. This definition of social competence takes into account the interrelatedness of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our local Head Start program is a program of excellence. At Paradise Christian School we provide a high-quality Head Start program to serve our children and families.
