Our Executive Director

 

Dr. Eileen Fluney has dedicated her life to the quality care of young children. She is continuously striving to advocate the importance of early childhood education and intervention programs. She has been involved in the education field since 1977 and specializing in Early Childhood Education since 1981. To name a few of her exciting roles, she has had many articles published in Early Childhood, Special Need and Advocacy, she presents motivated workshops all over the nation, “Hip Hop and Boogie" (music therapy, being the most requested), represents Early Childhood in a variety of panels and workgroups, validator for NAEYC, Mentor for DECA, previous co-president of our local NAEYC affiliate South Florida Association of Young Children, and Hialeah Education Committee. She has been on the cover of Childcare Exchange, has been presented Director of the Year, International Experts and Expertise recognition and many more. In 2006, The City of Hialeah presented her with a Proclamation: Naming December 16th as Dr. Eileen Fluney Day to recognize her dedication to the community and to the world of early childhood education. She received her Bachelor’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Thomas University, receiving the prestigious recognition in the National Dean’s List. She was published in the National Who’s Who in America, Oxfords Extraordinary Professionals.

She has been nominated for many awards from Director of the Year to Excellence in Educational Services. Her graduate studies at LaSalle University helped her accomplish her life’s inspiration of three special projects: Project 2000 for Culturally Challenged Children, Project “Standing Ovation”, Performing Arts Therapy and “Nature’s Paradise” for children with special needs. She shares her expertise with others in hope for a brighter future for all of our children. She states: “This is not my job, this is my way of life!" Her motto is: THEY ARE THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW EVEN THOUGH THEY STAND AS CHILDREN HERE TODAY.
